INFINITI realizes first steps on path to electrified future
In February, INFINITI announced that the brand is investing $500 million in its assembly plant in Canton, Mississippi, to bring it up to date with the latest electric vehicle manufacturing technology. Starting in 2025, the Canton plant will produce two brand-new all-electric vehicles. This marked a significant moment in INFINITI's goal of having more than half of the global sales electrified by 2030.

INFINITI and Waze partner for International Women's Day to elevate women who paved the way forward
On March 8th, to commemorate International Women's Day and further highlight women-owned businesses, INFINITI teamed up with Waze in a new initiative, "Pave it Forward." When users opened the Waze app, they saw pins of historical sites made significant by female change-makers. They also had the opportunity to visit women-owned businesses in 14 cities, from Los Angeles to New York, through spotlighted landmarks across the country. Waze users could choose to change their car icon to the QX60, a fun feature that not only brought awareness to the brand, but encouraged people to visit and contribute to the local community. In just one week, INFINITI garnered significant positive media reviews and reactions. As of March 10th, impressions reached 609M and 31 total placements.

INFINITI Motor Company announces leadership change in the Americas
INFINITI Americas announced a new leadership change this year. On April 1st, Craig Keeys replaced Jeff Pope as Group Vice President, INFINITI Americas. Keeys has more than 24 years of experience with Nissan in sales, marketing, aftersales and logistics roles and has since continued to propel the brand forward.

INFINITI retailers notch another win, top industry study for dealer response for second consecutive year
According to the 2022 Pied Piper PSI Internet Lead Effectiveness (ILE) Benchmarking Study, which was released in mid-March, INFINITI dealers ranked highest in the industry for the second consecutive year in responsiveness to online inquiries. The ILE study ranked INFINITI ahead of every automaker, including luxury competitors, and INFINITI outpaced the industry average by 12 points.

INFINITI Announces ‘INFINITI Premium Care' Integrated Maintenance Program
In June, INFINITI announced the new INFINITI Premium Care Package, which provides three years of scheduled maintenance for all 2023MY vehicles in addition to some participating dealerships offering an INFINITI Valet with the service. INFINITI Premium Care provides a suite of benefits including inspections, oil changes and tire rotations, expanding on the luxury automaker's tradition of providing top-rated customer satisfaction.

Designing the next generation car emoji with INFINITI
In celebration of this year's World Emoji Day on July 17th, the INFINITI Global Design team set about shaking up the emoji world by reimagining the car icon. Led by INFINITI Senior Vice President of Global Design Alfonso Albaisa, the team decided to take on the challenge to better capture the spirit of today's thoughtfully designed car in a miniature, smartphone compatible pixel form. INFINITI's redesigned emoji was revealed in a video posted to INFINITI's social channels on World Emoji Day featuring Alfonso.

INFINITI makes impressive progress in the JD Power 2022 U.S. APEAL Study with QX60 topping midsize premium SUV ranking
In July, JD Power released their Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study, and in it, the INFINITI QX60 topped the midsize premium SUV segment. Additionally, INFINITI was listed as the premium brand that gained the biggest increase in points in the U.S. for 2022. As a brand, INFINITI improved 24 points from a year ago, achieving a ranking of 866 and moving up three places year over year. The performance placed INFINITI ahead of Lexus, Acura, Volvo and Audi in the U.S. for 2022.

INFINITI returns to 2022 Pebble Beach Automotive Week
This August, INFINITI and MotorTrend teamed up once again to showcase the best and brightest Japanese vehicles at the Japanese Automotive Invitational at Pebble Beach. Visitors experienced the rich innovation and performance-driven design of Japanese vehicles, including the iconic INFINITI 2003 FX45. In addition to the FX45, the 2022 INFINITI QX60 was on display, showcasing the brand's longstanding tradition of elegant design. To benefit the Kinship Center and Rancho Cielo Youth Campus, INFINITI also donated a 2023 INFINITI QX60 LUXE in a charity drawing.

In September, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) announced that the 2023 INFINITI QX60 earned the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's 2022's TOP SAFETY PICK+ award for its excellence in safety features this year. We are thrilled about this announcement and proud to share that the QX60 continues to deliver on its promise of safety and luxury.

This September, INFINITI launched the all-new MyINFINITI App, now available in Apple App and Google Play Stores. The app represents a leap forward in its ability to consolidate all parts of the INFINITI owner experience, in and out of the vehicle, in one place. Through remote vehicle access, personalization, maintenance, convenience features, and links to financial services account management, all INFINITI owners now have access to one app that unlocks their entire ownership experience.

Recently, INFINITI announced the new‘Infinitely You' campaign that celebrates life's magical moments that often happen inside your vehicle. By highlighting the space consumers need to relish in a moment of pride, have a conversation they've been meaning to have or just disconnect from it all and take a deep breath, INFINITI sets a new path forward to provide consumers with a comfortable place to exist, both physically and emotionally. The campaign reinforces INFINITI's commitment to providing its owners a place to experience some of life's most intimate and honest moments.

INFINITI wins prestigious PR Daily Media Relations Award
On December 12th, INFINITI was named the winner of a Ragan's PR Daily Media Relations Award in the Use of a Celebrity or Personality Category for the 2022 INFINITI QX60 Launch. One of the more notable awards in the industry, the prize celebrates the best of PR, communications, and marketing to drive brand building. For the launch, INFINITI Communications worked to find talent for a branded short film, "INFINITI Presents: Conquer Life in Style with the All-New QX-60" directed by Zack Snyder and featuring Globe-winning, Academy Award-nominated actress, Kate Hudson.
