MILTON KEYNES, UK – When at the end of a race, the TV cameramen dash down to parc fermé to capture the intensity of the celebrations that greet a win or a podium finish, or even a remarkable run to the points position, it’s not hard to see the passion people working in Formula One bring to the sport.

That passion though, isn't just confined to the crew working trackside. Back at base, there are another 400 or more people celebrating just as wildly. Indeed, even though the vast majority of people working at an F1 operation rarely – if ever – get to stand under the podium, getting drenched by the champagne sprayed from above by their driver, there's no lack of dedication or commitment to the sport.

To shine a little light on some of these unsung heroes (a couple who will be familiar to you), we've made a series of short films entitle Our Racing Heartbeat focusing on the people and jobs that don't normally command the limelight on a grand prix, but are every bit as essential as those in the grand prix garages.

In one of the episodes, we hear from David Boys who looks after the build of our race cars at the factory. In others, we explore everything from composites lamination and what it takes to keep our various facilities ticking right up to the high-pressure role of chief designer. In every case, the unifying factor is a passion for competition and a love for what they do.
