MILTON KEYNES, UK – The processes that go into getting a successful Formula One car from drawing board to track, and that aim to keep it competitive across a season, are normally the kind of "beyond-your-clearance," "need-to-know basis" secrets you find at the center of those Mission Impossible movies, the sort people get all action hero about saving or stealing.
Not anymore. Now we're unlocking the doors to give you a behind-the-scenes peak at how we design and manufacture our F1 challengers. Our new "The Making of an F1 Car" mini-series will, over four episodes, take you from concept to build.
Episode one, "Design and R&D," uses exclusive interviews with team members and showcases detailed and artistic footage of the intricate procedures required to make an F1 car.
New episodes will be released each week for four weeks. Coming soon: Go inside the world of composites, learn about manufacturing, and finally discover how the build of the car itself takes place in the assembly bays of our Milton Keynes HQ.
