ABU DHABI – Formula One Double World Champion and current Championship leader Sebastian Vettel took to the track early in Abu Dhabi where he gave the first customers of the INFINITI FX Vettel Edition hot laps around the Al Forsan Motor Sports Centre.
After a meet and greet with the first customers of the 300-kph limited edition SUV, Vettel put the car he inspired through its paces to show the new owners its real potential.
A unique collaboration between Vettel and INFINITI's Senior Vice President, Chief Creative Officer Shiro Nakamura, the INFINITI FX Vettel Edition features a 5.0-liter V8 420PS engine and F1-inspired technology including advanced aerodynamic devices and carbon fiber components. It is available now from €120,000 (depending on country). Vettel drove the first vehicle to leave the production line at INFINITI's global manufacturing plant in Tochigi, Japan last month before the Japanese GP.
Commenting on the event, Sebastian Vettel said: "I got my first true feel for the production version in Japan just before the Grand Prix there and was impressed with it. Today it's been great to meet the INFINITI customers and to see the smiles on their faces and their excitement at also owning an INFINITI."
