During this year’s eSafety Challenge Formula One World Champion Sebastian Vettel demonstrated electronic stability control with an INFINITI M37.

On May 31 the yearly eSafety Challenge took place at the ÖAMTC Fahrtechnik Zentrum Teesdorf near Vienna. This event was established in 2009 by the FIA Foundation and eSafteyAware and is supported by the European Commission to promote the life-saving potential of advanced vehicle safety technologies. To show the effectiveness of these eSafety technologies some of the World’s best drivers demonstrate the difference between active and non-active safety systems on the test track.

Red Bull Racing driver Sebastian Vettel, recently announced as INFINITI’s Global Brand Ambassador, exemplified the function of electronic stability control with the help of an INFINITI M37 S Premium provided by INFINITI Center Vienna. This safety system is standard on all models of the INFINITI product range and avoids a break away by selective braking of the wheels.

Commenting on this event, Sebastian Vettel said: “As race driver I am familiar with critical situations, but on normal roads a different set of rules apply and advanced safety systems are life-saving. It’s important to show all motorists of the effectiveness and importance of eSafety technologies.”
