NASHVILLE, Tenn. – At the 2018 Houston Auto Show, held Jan. 24-28, the refreshed INFINITI SUV lineup will make its debut in the Lone Star State. Houston Auto Show visitors will see the innovative and all-new INFINITI QX50 crossover, and the new full-size INFINITI QX80 SUV. INFINITI's entire line-up of luxury SUVs and crossovers will be on display at the INFINITI booth.
The 2019 QX50 debuted at the Los Angeles International Auto Show with a world-first technology, the first production-ready variable compression ratio engine, named the INFINITI VC-Turbo. Over 20 years in the making, and a breakthrough in combustion engine design, the 2.0-liter VC-Turbo engine adjusts its compression ratio optimizing power and efficiency by combining the power of a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with the torque and efficiency of a four-cylinder diesel engine.
With a powerful exterior design and handcrafted interior materials, the all-new QX50 also features new ProPILOT Assist technologies that offer support to the driver by delegating more onerous driving tasks to the machine, adding to the enjoyment and confidence of the driver. Houstonians can see the 2019 INFINITI QX50 now at the Houston Auto Show, and can find it in showrooms later this year.
The 2018 QX80, which made its North American debut at the Los Angeles International Auto Show in November, takes INFINITI's "Powerful Elegance" design language in a bold new direction, creating a powerful, contemporary and commanding presence. With a refined and spacious cabin featuring luxury materials and advanced driver-assist technologies, the QX80 sets a new standard for sophisticated modern luxury.
Texas is the QX80's top selling market in the U.S., and INFINITI's bold new full-size luxury SUV can be seen in showrooms now.
Attendees can also find INFINITI's complete line-up of SUVs and crossovers including the versatile QX60 luxury crossover, named "Best Luxury 3-Row SUV for Families" by U.S. News & World Report in 2017, in addition to the sporty QX30 active crossover, which was awarded "Best Compact Luxury SUV" by the Texas Auto Writers Association.
