NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nissan announced that it is promoting Tiago Castro to the position of senior vice president, U.S. Marketing & Sales, Nissan and INFINITI. In this role, he will be responsible for all marketing and sales activities for the Nissan brand in the U.S., while also overseeing the INFINITI business across the Americas.
His appointment is effective Jan. 9.
Castro currently is vice president, INFINTI Americas, overseeing the brand's overall performance in the United States, Canada and Mexico, including strategic direction, planning, operations, retail network and sales and marketing.
He joined Nissan North America in 2003 and has since gained extensive experience across a diverse range of functions, including Research & Development, Product Planning, Program Management and Marketing & Sales. He worked closely with the Nissan dealer network as regional vice president, Nissan Midwest Region, before his current role leading INFINITI.
Castro will replace Michael Soutter, who has served at Nissan in multiple global and regional leadership roles over more than 12 years. He had retired from the company, but returned to Nissan in his current role in 2025 to support a leadership transition.

Castro's replacement to lead INFINITI will be the subject of a later announcement.
