INFINITI today reported U.S. sales of 6,761 units for the month of April, a decrease of 6.2 percent versus 7,211 units a year earlier.
Highlights of INFINITI’s sales performance for April include:
- The INFINITI QX had sales of 976 units, an increase of 73.7 percent over prior year, marking the full-size luxury SUV’s best April since 2005
- The INFINITI G Sedan had sales of 2,588 units in April, pushing its year-to-date sales up over 21 percent
- With sales of 1,267, the INFINITI G Coupe had a slight increase over prior year
- For 2011, INFINITI has delivered 34,597 vehicles, an increase of 11.9 percent over prior year
“After a strong March that ended with several records, our sales in April supported a 12 percent year-to-date increase in 2011,” said Ben Poore, vice president, INFINITI Americas. “With aggressive inventory management, customers are finding the INFINITI vehicles they want at our retailers.”
April also saw the arrival of the new INFINITI M Hybrid, the luxury high performance hybrid, at INFINITI retailers nationwide, and an announcement at the New York International Auto Show that the INFINITI JX, an all-new 7-passenger luxury crossover built in the United States, will go on sale next spring.
