Hong Kong/Geneva – INFINITI's European debuts included two daring all-new models and one comprehensively updated vehicle today at the Geneva International Motor Show. All three share INFINITI's iconic design language, innovative technologies and precise driving characteristics.

All-new is the Q60 Red Sport coupe, promising a powerful drive from a highly advanced new V6 engine boasting up to 400 hp, and the QX30 premium active crossover, with its elevated stance, concept-like exterior, and asymmetric cabin design.

They are joined by the refreshed Q50 sports sedan, which features significant performance and dynamic upgrades that deliver a more empowering and rewarding drive experience.

"The year 2015 was successful for INFINITI, as we transformed our product line-up and established a sales record for the brand around the world," said Roland Krueger, President of INFINITI Motor Company. "The three new cars, which make their European debuts here in Geneva, highlight our ongoing commitment to developing and expanding INFINITI's product portfolio."

The launch of these new and upgraded models in Europe comes at a time of rapid growth for INFINITI. The company sold a record 215,250 new vehicles in 2015, representing a year-on-year rise of 16 percent.

INFINITI continues to build on its reputation in the global sports coupe segment as the new Q60 makes its European premiere at the Geneva International Motor Show. The car will go on sale in Europe in summer 2016.

The Q60 features a striking interpretation of INFINITI's "Powerful Elegance" design language, with taut, muscular lines and distinctive proportions. At the heart of the car is an all-new lightweight and sophisticated "VR30" 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine, which plays a key role in the Q60's engaging yet refined drive experience.

The new engine, from the new and exclusive "VR" powertrain family, continues the brand's longstanding heritage of advanced six-cylinder powertrain production. This new V6 is available in two states of tune – either 300 hp or 400 hp – and has been engineered to offer superior levels of power and torque, coupled with high standards of efficiency. The Q60 Red Sport shown in Geneva features the higher-powered 400 hp V6 engine, which provides the car with one of the best power-to-efficiency ratings in the sports coupe class.

Power from the high-performance VR30 engine is delivered as standard through the Q60's rear wheels, although all-wheel drive is optional. The Q60 is also available with the company's second-generation Direct Adaptive Steering – comprehensively modified from the ground-breaking first-generation system – and INFINITI's new Dynamic Digital Suspension, which gives the sports coupe an optimal blend of ride comfort and class-leading response and agility.

All-new QX30: a premium active crossover for all environments

The second all-new INFINITI model making its European debut is the QX30, joining the recently released and highly acclaimed European market Q30 as part of the brand's new premium compact line-up.

The QX30 represents the next step for INFINITI within the premium arena, further expanding its product range for a new generation of premium car buyers. With a purposeful, elevated crossover appearance and signature INFINITI design cues, the QX30 makes a bold visual statement and defies categorization inside and out. The QX30 remains true to the "Powerful Elegance" design approach that guided the original QX30 concept shown at the 2015 Geneva International Motor Show.

The QX30 is characterized by its confidence-inspiring drive, aided by an intelligent all-wheel drive system that is able to send up to 50 percent of the engine's power and torque to the rear axle to maintain traction. Combined with the elevated ground clearance, the QX30's drivetrain is engineered to deal with all conditions.

A seven-speed dual-clutch transmission system comes as standard. The dual-clutch intelligently pre-selects gears so the next shift is always ready to go, while in manual mode the system allows the driver to control gear changes when required. Seamless acceleration is ensured at any speed and in any gear while the delivery of torque is uninterrupted between gear changes.

The all-new QX30 will be introduced to selected markets in the middle of 2016.

2016 Q50: A premium sports sedan delivering an empowering drive

Driving the recent success of INFINITI's premium model lineup is the Q50, updated comprehensively for 2016 and revealed to European audiences for the first time at the 86th Geneva International Motor Show. The Q50 sports sedan has played a critical role in the brand's sustained global growth.

On sale in selected markets later in the year, a selection of technology and performance upgrades to the 2016 Q50 will boost the car's appeal in the sports sedan segment, notably with its next-generation ride and handling technologies, engineered to empower drivers with fully customizable driving characteristics.

As well as the powerful all-new V6 engine found in the Q60 sports coupe, making its debut in the Q50 is the company's second-generation Direct Adaptive Steering and INFINITI's new Dynamic Digital Suspension, offering full ride and handling customization, high ride comfort and class-leading handling agility.

Technical partner of new Renault Sport Formula One Team from 2016

INFINITI's successful involvement in Formula One enters a new phase in 2016, as INFINITI announced its new technical partnership with the newly launched Renault Sport Formula One Team.
