NASHVILLE, Tenn. The 2026 INFINITI QX60 has earned the TOP SAFETY PICK+ designation from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) for 2025, recognizing its robust crash protection and advanced driver-assist technologies. This marks five consecutive years of IIHS recognition for QX60 since its 2022 relaunch, including four TOP SAFETY PICK+ and one TOP SAFETY PICK for the 2025 model year.

Anchored by a carefully engineered structure and three‑row packaging, QX60 offers a suite of standard safety and driver‑assist technologies for everyday confidence: Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection1, Rear Automatic Braking2, Predictive Forward Collision Warning3, Lane Departure Warning4, Blind Spot Warning5 and Rear Cross Traffic Alert6. Available technologies such as ProPILOT Assist 2.17, 3D Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection and Invisible Hood View8 further enhance situational awareness and support attentive driving.

The 2026 QX60 is in good company for safety excellence, joining the 2025 INFINITI QX80 which earned an IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating earlier this year.

"INFINITI QX60 and QX80 represent the perfect blend of advanced safety technologies, luxury and performance," said Tiago Castro, vice president, INFINITI Americas. "Earning IIHS's TOP SAFETY PICK+ designation for our two core SUVs reflects how INFINITI consistently applies its technical expertise to prioritize what clients value most—confidence, protection and refinement in every drive."

QX60 continues to lead INFINITI's sales performance, representing 60% of brand volume in 2025. Strong third-quarter gains and sustained double-digit growth in recent months highlight its appeal among clients.

Why QX60 earned TOP SAFETY PICK+

IIHS's 2025 evaluations require vehicles to earn good ratings in the small overlap front, updated side and updated moderate overlap front tests, plus an acceptable or good rating in the pedestrian front crash prevention evaluation and acceptable- or good-rated headlights across all trims. The 2026 INFINITI QX60 meets these criteria, reflecting elevated second row protection requirements introduced for the 2025 evaluations.

Safety matters to luxury SUV buyers

Independent research shows shoppers continue to prioritize safety technology.

  • AAA's 2025 survey found 78% of U.S. drivers prioritize advancements in vehicle safety systems, with strong interest in features like Automatic Emergency Braking, Reverse Automatic Emergency Braking and Lane Keeping Assistance.9
  • Deloitte's 2025 Global Automotive Consumer Study similarly notes persistent safety concerns around autonomy, underscoring the importance of driver assistance technologies that build trust.10
