  • Be bold and daring (and socially distant) with origami-inspired crossover coupe
  • Elegant QX55 Carigami follows iconic FX, flagship QX80, and sporty Q50 Carigami models already available
  • QX55 Carigami available now at INFINITI.com to print at home

NASHVILLE, Tenn.  — Folding paper to excite and surprise friends and family just got even more interesting this year. In addition to wrapping gifts for loved ones, INFINITI today announces the fourth installment of its successful Carigami series — and perhaps the most provocative.

The all-new INFINITI QX55 Carigami joins the already released Q50, QX80, and iconic FX in the Carigami series as a treat during the holiday season. Bold? You bet. Daring? Of course. Grandparent-approved? That’s right.

Like the previous entries in the series, the QX55 is a dynamic and alluring 1:27 scale replication of the daring crossover coupe revealed in November. Under the bright lights of the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles, the QX55 drew hundreds of thousands of eyeballs — even next to global superstar Aloe Blacc during an immersive and entertaining all-digital reveal. Under the beautiful lights of any Christmas tree or holiday display, the QX55 Carigami will also be a showstopper.

The QX55 Carigami draws closely to the full-size vehicle that will arrive next spring; traditional Japanese origami folds were the inspiration for the QX55’s intricate mesh-patterned grille, and the crossover’s carefully crafted interior dazzles with equal verve and warmth.

“As we take time to celebrate our friends and families this season, it’s our pleasure to offer the QX55 Carigami as a craft project to enjoy with loved ones. From center stage to your home, we treasure our customers and fans who bring life into our brand,” said Phil York, INFINITI Global general manager for marketing. “Since the all-new QX55 is not quite available for your driveway, the QX55 Carigami can dazzle your holiday display this year instead.”

Thousands have already downloaded and printed other models in the Carigami series, and fans can now download and print all four models from INFINTI.com.

Using scissors or a craft knife and glue, people can assemble their QX55 and share their creations on social media using the #QX55 and #Carigami hashtags.
