Pebble Beach, Calif. – INFINITI is partnering with TEN: The Enthusiast Network during the 2015 Pebble Beach automotive week to bring to life a collective, high-technology experience showcasing the brand's evolving design and performance.

Through a new virtual reality experience, INFINITI is giving driving enthusiasts the opportunity to not just see, but actually feel what it's like to take the wheel of two of its newest and most exciting concept cars. The "Dream Road" at the INFINITI Pavilion at Pebble Beach Concours Plaza transports guests to the driver's seat of the Q60 Concept, which was revealed earlier this year at the Detroit Auto show. The exhibit lets guests virtually experience the performance of the next generation coupe on some of the world's most exhilarating drives, including Italy's Stelvio Pass and the stunning Atlantic Ocean road in Norway. INFINITI teamed with CXC Simulations and professional drivers to replicate the real-world physics of every bump, acceleration and turn of drive. The custom simulator recreates G-forces and tilt, providing a fully-immersive VR experience.

In a second virtual reality experience launching at Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, INFINITI executive design director Alfonso Albaisa will take guests on a guided tour of the breathtaking design of the QX30 Concept in "From Pencil to Metal." Beginning with the very first pencil sketches drawn in thin air, viewers will experience the QX30 Concept design story unfold around them in three-dimensional space – moving to CAD files, clay modeling and, lastly, the final model. The experiences were created by INFINITI's creative agency of record CP+B and media agency of record OMD.

Guests visiting the INFINITI Pavilion will receive a complimentary special edition headset inspired by Google Cardboard so they can download the free INFINITI Driver's Seat VR mobile app and relive the full experiences at home. In addition, both "From Pencil to Metal" and "Dream Road" short films will become centerpieces of the first-ever YouTube 360 automotive advertising campaign — an industry first. The campaign launches August 15, 2015.

"This innovative partnership invites the automotive enthusiast at Pebble Beach to transport themselves virtually and in real life with unique INFINITI experiences and celebrate with us the latest vehicles in the INFINITI lineup."

As part of INFINITI's integration with TEN, Motor Trend will curate a ride-and-drive experience with eight luxury INFINITI vehicles including the Q50 sport sedan, Q60S Convertible and the QX80 Limited. Test-drives will take place Thursday, Aug. 13 through Saturday, Aug. 15 starting at the INFINITI Pavilion and throughout the Monterey Pines and iconic 17-Mile Drive.

Also at the INFINITI Pavilion are Food & Wine Moments, featuring a selection of local artisan cheeses and wines for guests to enjoy. The refreshing Food & Wine Moments take place Friday through Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m.

On Saturday evening, Aug. 15, beginning at 6 p.m., Motor Trend and INFINITI will host a private party featuring internationally-acclaimed musical guest Vintage Trouble.

The INFINITI Pavilion is located at the Pebble Beach Concours Plaza on the corner of Forest Lake Road and Stevenson Drive in Pebble Beach and will be open to guests during the following times:

  • Thursday, Aug. 13, Noon to 6 p.m.
  • Friday, Aug. 14, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday, Aug. 15, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Sunday, Aug. 16, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

INFINITI will also have a large activation at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering. As a Platinum Sponsor of this exclusive event, INFINITI will once again host one of the most intimate and celebrated events during Pebble Beach Automotive Week. Guests will have the opportunity to explore the Q60 Concept and the exceptional INFINITI Red Bull Racing Show Car up-close while interacting with the INFINITI technology experience. New this year, guests will be able to enjoy hand-crafted Smitten Ice Cream compliments of INFINITI. This year's enhanced event will take place on the Practice Range of Quail Lodge & Golf Club.  INFINITI is the Official and Exclusive Shuttle of The Quail, providing eight QX80 vehicles and shuttle service solely for Quail Lodge and Golf Club guests and VIPs.
