NASHVILLE, Tenn.  – INFINITI today announced that the all-new 2019 QX50 luxury midsize crossover leads the pack of runners at the world's premier distance running event, the 122nd Boston Marathon.

In celebration of the "Year of Service," a B.A.A. campaign celebrating the altruism that bonds country, mission, and community, local volunteer and hero Deb Kerr rides in the all-new INFINITI QX50 lead vehicle during the marathon. Through her work with the Semper Fi Fund, Kerr assists military members and victims of the 9/11 attacks and 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. INFINITI donates $10,000 to the Semper Fi Fund on behalf of Kerr and the Greater Boston Area INFINITI Retailers.

"INFINITI is extremely proud to be partnering with the Boston Athletic Association for this year's marathon, and it is truly an honor to have the most advanced vehicle we have ever designed leading the runners at one of the world's most renowned athletic events," said Tedros Mengiste, Regional Vice President, East region for INFINITI USA. "We are pleased to support the Semper Fi Fund with a donation on behalf of a local community hero like Deb Kerr."

INFINITI also provides mobile device charging lockers for participants and spectators, located at Copley Square and the marathon's family meeting area at the intersection of Stewart and Berkeley Streets. At the finish line, the all-new INFINITI QX50 will be on display.

On sale now at INFINITI retailers nationwide, the 2019 QX50 is the brand's most advanced vehicle to date and embodies everything INFINITI stands for: beautiful design, advanced technology and empowering performance features. The all-new INFINITI QX50 features the world's first production VC-Turbo engine providing the power and strength of a sprinter with the efficiency and endurance of a marathon runner. It combines the power of a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with the torque and efficiency of an advanced four-cylinder diesel engine.
