DULUTH, Ga. – Asbury Automotive Group, Inc., one of the largest automotive retail and service companies in the U.S., announced today that it has broken ground on a new state-of-the-art INFINITI dealership in Atlanta.
The INFINITI store, featuring two five-story car display towers, will be in a high-visibility area off Interstate 285, near I-85. Those attending the groundbreaking included: Craig Monaghan, president and CEO of Asbury Automotive; David Hult, chief operating officer of Asbury Automotive; David Bushe, area general manager, INFINITI Americas; and Terry Hoffman, dealer operations manager, INFINITI Americas.
"We are excited to expand and strengthen Nalley's presence in the Atlanta community by bringing jobs to the area," said Monaghan. "I believe customers are going to enjoy the convenience of the new location with the added features, inventory and service the new stores will have to offer."
Asbury Automotive acquired 20 acres of the 165-acre former GM site. The dealership will be approximately 50,000-square-feet. The new store will be compliant with INFINITI's "IREDI" image and provide over 1,200 parking spaces and 10 electric vehicle charging stations. The dealership will open its doors in mid-2016.
"This is certainly a one-of-a-kind project for Asbury due to its scope, importance and uniqueness," said Hult. "The economic impact this project will have on the area is particularly significant. These dealerships will also be the largest INFINITI store in the Metro Atlanta area."
